YOUR ANDROID PHONE. A SMARTER TV REMOTE.
Turn your Android phone into a Firestick remote. Browse your Fire TV with a responsive touchpad, type searches with your phone keyboard, and open your favorite apps without scrolling through TV menus. Lost the remote? Keep watching with the phone already in your hand.
MORE THAN A REPLACEMENT REMOTE
Bring everyday Fire TV controls to your phone, with touchpad navigation, faster text entry, and shortcuts to the apps you actually watch.
Replace your physical remote with familiar Home, Back, menu, and playback buttons. The app discovers Fire TV devices on your Wi-Fi network so you can select your TV and get connected.
Swipe to move through Fire TV menus and tap to select. Switch from directional buttons to a responsive touchpad when you want a more natural way to browse movies, shows, and apps.
Type movie titles, search terms, and login details on your Android keyboard and send them to your Fire TV. Spend less time selecting letters with a remote and more time finding something worth watching.
Open installed streaming apps and channels directly from the shortcut list on your phone. Jump back into your favorites without working your way through the Fire TV home screen.
EASY WI-FI PAIRING
Connect your Android phone and Fire TV or Fire TV Stick to the same Wi-Fi network so the app can discover your device.
Download the app from Google Play, open it, and choose your Fire TV from the device list. Keep your TV powered on during setup.
Follow the authorization prompt on your TV to finish pairing. The app requires ADB debugging to be enabled on Fire TV. Once connected, use the remote buttons, touchpad, or keyboard to take control.
FIRE TV DEVICE COMPATIBILITY
Use one Android remote app with Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Box. Both your phone and your Fire TV device need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Available controls depend on your device and its setup.
SETUP AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Yes. Install Fire TV Remote from Google Play, connect your Android phone and Fire TV Stick to the same Wi-Fi network, then select your device in the app. After pairing, you can navigate with remote buttons or the touchpad, enter text with your phone keyboard, and launch installed apps from shortcuts.
Keep your Fire TV powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi as your phone. Open the app, select your device, and follow the authorization prompt on your TV. Enable ADB debugging on Fire TV as required by the app to complete the connection.
First, check that your phone and Fire TV are on the same Wi-Fi network and that ADB debugging is enabled on Fire TV. If your device is missing from the list, restart your Fire TV, reopen the app, and check your Wi-Fi signal. A guest network may prevent your phone and TV from finding each other.
Yes, once your Fire TV Stick is connected to Wi-Fi and paired with the app. If you still need to set up Wi-Fi or approve a pairing request on your TV, you may need the original remote or your TV's built-in controls to complete those steps first.
This app connects over Wi-Fi. Your Android phone and Fire TV need to be on the same network for device discovery and remote control. It does not replace the physical remote's Bluetooth connection.
The app runs on Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later. It supports Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Box. This product is currently available on Google Play for Android; an iPhone download is not available on this page.
